How Evy’s Gifts Began Joe Attayek started his lawn and maintenance garden services company, Attayek Lawn & Garden in 1985. His landscape maintenance company in Colfax North Carolina flourished and led him to open a small garden center with lawn, garden, outdoor accessories, gifts and powered lawn equipment. The lawn and garden décor that Joe had in his garden center helped to enhance his lawn maintenance customer’s landscaping even more. Many of his customers started to bombard him in purchasing décor items for their lawns and also loved the gifts he had in his garden store. Everyone ignored the plants, seeds or fertilizer he had for sale and headed straight for the unique gifts. After all, Joe and Evy’s eye for fun, different and unique gift items never before seen in other gift stores in the Piedmont Triad was becoming evident. Evy’s gifts is now known to be the only gift store with the most unique gift items that you will find between Boone North Carolina and Myrtle Beach!
Joe bought so many yard art items, garden décor and gifts he liked personally for their own home. The influx of customers wanting these lawn and garden gift items for themselves and Joe and Evy’s taste for unique gifts inspired them further to expand in this much needed realm of retail. Eventually Joe had to start putting the overflow of all these unique yard art and gift items in a place to call home all by themselves, thus Evy’s Gifts was born!
